From entry incidental interaction in glossary Artificial Intelligence: humans at the heart of algorithms
Incidental interaction refers to a form of human–computer interaction whereby the system observes the user's actions and uses this in some way to improve or assist future tasks, whether by the same user or others. For example, when you listen to music on a streaming service, this updates its model of your preferences so that it can make better recommendations in future.
